The agreement
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of Super Yacht Eats (the “Service”), a directory and transactional platform that connects yacht crew (chief stewardesses, chefs, captains, yacht managers) with food suppliers worldwide. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.
Who we are
Super Yacht Eats is operated by SASU AGO. Contact: contact@superyachteats.com.
Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and act on behalf of yourself or a business you are authorised to represent. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
The directory
Crew accounts (free and Crew Pro) can browse the directory, send quote requests (RFQs) to suppliers, and use the platform’s tools (AI Menu Builder and Shopping List Builder for Crew Pro). Supplier accounts (Verified and Premium) hold a public listing, receive RFQs at their ports of operation, and submit quotes. Suppliers must be approved by our team before becoming publicly visible.
Subscriptions and billing
Crew Pro, Verified and Premium plans are paid subscriptions billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are displayed on the pricing page and may be updated; the price in force at the start of each billing period applies. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard — your plan stays active until the end of the current period, then ends. We do not issue refunds for unused time on a cancelled subscription except where required by law.
Payments between crew and suppliers
Super Yacht Eats does not process payments between crews and suppliers, does not hold funds on their behalf, and is not party to the underlying commercial transaction. When a crew accepts a quote, they pay the supplier directly using the method indicated on the quote (bank transfer or the supplier’s own payment link). Invoicing, taxes, and any post-sale obligations are between the crew and the supplier.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) submit false, misleading or fraudulent information; (b) use the Service to harass, defame, or harm anyone; (c) attempt to disrupt or compromise the Service; (d) scrape, copy, or re-use the directory’s content for commercial purposes; (e) circumvent the platform to undercut subscription fees, while remaining listed; (f) use the Service in any way that breaches applicable law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account for material breach of these Terms, repeated complaints, fraud, or any conduct that puts other users at risk. We aim to give notice where reasonable. You may close your account at any time from your dashboard.
Content you submit
You retain ownership of the content you submit (descriptions, photos, RFQ details). You grant Super Yacht Eats a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content on the Service for the purpose of operating the directory. You must have the right to grant this licence.
No warranty on commercial outcomes
The Service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that a crew will find a supplier that fits their needs, that a supplier will find new clients, or that any transaction will be completed successfully. We vet suppliers before listing, but we are not responsible for their goods, services, conduct, or any loss arising from a transaction between users.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Super Yacht Eats is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Our total aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email or in-product banner. Continued use of the Service after the announcement constitutes acceptance.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved by direct dialogue with contact@superyachteats.com. Failing amicable resolution, disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in France, except where consumer-protection rules grant a different forum.
