Porto Montenegro is the principal megayacht marina of the Bay of Kotor, with 250 superyacht berths and dedicated capacity for vessels above 100m. Located in Tivat on the deep natural fjord that is one of the most distinctive Adriatic landscapes, the marina was developed in the 2000s on the site of the former Yugoslav naval base, and has rapidly become one of the principal megayacht hubs of the eastern Mediterranean. The UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor surrounds it on three sides with dramatic limestone mountains.
The Montenegrin pantry is small but distinctive. Vranac — the indigenous Montenegrin red grape, producing structured wines from the Lake Skadar and Bjeliši areas. Krstač — the indigenous Montenegrin white. Olive oil from the small Bay of Kotor groves (Stari Bar, the Skadar hinterland). Pršut from the Montenegrin mountains (the Njeguši village above the bay is the historic centre of Montenegrin prosciutto and cheese production). Njeguški sir cheese — a hard cow's milk cheese from the same village. Lake Skadar carp and freshwater fish from inland. Fresh sea fish from the Bay of Kotor and the open Adriatic. Bay of Kotor mussels and oysters. Specialty providers at Porto Montenegro maintain HACCP-grade megayacht catering for the long-stay private and charter fleet, with full kosher, halal and allergen-specific protocols routine.
Yachting season runs April through October with year-round operational base. Porto Montenegro suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, plus full crew catering for refit and long-stay vessels.
