Marina Alicante sits in the historic Alicante port at the foot of the Santa Bárbara castle, with 80 superyacht berths in the modern marina basin opposite the Esplanada and the Casco Antiguo. Alicante is the principal Costa Blanca city — historic Mediterranean port, full air and rail infrastructure (Alicante airport handles the second-busiest European charter traffic after Palma), and the natural base for Costa Blanca yachting.
The Alicante pantry is south-Valencian. Alicante DO wines — built around Monastrell (the indigenous variety), producing structured reds and the rare Fondillón sweet wine (aged 10-100 years in solera, one of the world's rarest aged sweet wines). Valencia DO and Utiel-Requena DO from the inland Valencian Community. Olive oil from the Alicante hinterland. Turrón de Jijona DOP (the soft almond nougat) and Turrón de Alicante DOP (the hard nougat) — both from the village of Jijona 20 km north, with the centuries-old tradition. Horchata de chufa — the tigernut milk from the Valencia plain. Alicantino specialties: arroz a banda, arroz negro, fideuà, paella valenciana (the original with rabbit, chicken, snails, beans — distinct from seafood paella). Mediterranean fresh fish from the Alicante auction and the Costa Blanca fishing fleet. Specialty providers handle the broad Spanish wine repertoire (Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Priorat) through the airport's logistics network.
Yachting season runs March through October with shoulder support given the airport scale. Alicante suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to Tabarca island (the small marine reserve immediately offshore) and Calpe-Altea bays.
