Cala Bitta is the small private marina of Baja Sardinia, the upscale coastal village at the entrance to the Costa Smeralda, with 50 superyacht berths in a sheltered cove ten minutes north of Porto Cervo. The atmosphere is residential rather than resort — Baja Sardinia is built around villas and small hotels — and the marina serves a long-stay owner clientele alongside seasonal charters.
The pantry is Costa Smeralda — Gallura terroir, identical to Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo. Vermentino di Gallura DOCG from the granite hills behind the coast, Cannonau di Sardegna reds, Pecorino Sardo DOP and Pecorino Romano, bottarga di muggine. Sardinian specialties: malloreddus, culurgiones, porcetto, pane carasau, mirto liqueur. Fresh fish from the Olbia auction and local boats. The supplier network is shared with Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo — most operators serve the three ports on the same daily route.
Yachting season runs May through September with sharp peaks in late July and August. Cala Bitta is calmer than Porto Cervo and Porto Rotondo, well-suited to long-stay owners. Suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to the Smeralda bays.
