Marina di Loano is one of the largest pleasure marinas on the Riviera di Ponente, between Savona and Imperia, with 75 superyacht berths and a fully-developed waterfront. The marina is modern, calm, and the closest serious yachting base for charters working the western Ligurian coast toward the French border. The town itself is a relaxed mid-coast resort with markets, fishmongers and a substantial restaurant economy. Pantry: classic Riviera di Ponente. Taggiasca olive oil and table olives from inland Imperia and Savona provinces, Pigato and Vermentino di Ponente whites, Ormeasco di Pornassio reds, Rossese di Dolceacqua. Fresh fish from the Savona auction and local boats. Anchovies, farinata di ceci, panissa. Inland from Loano: small producers of Albenga artichokes (a delicate Slow Food variety), Pigato whites and lambs from the Alta Val Pennavaira. Piemonte / Langhe sourcing — truffles in autumn, hazelnuts, salumi — is straightforward via the autostrada. Yachting season runs April through October. Loano is markedly quieter than Genoa or the Tigullio and well-suited to longer provisioning windows. Suppliers handle same-day on fresh items ordered before 10h00 and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning. The marina is a useful base for charters running the French border week (Menton, Monaco, Cap-Ferrat) without committing to the more expensive French ports.
