Porto Mirabello is the megayacht marina of La Spezia, set inside the Gulf of La Spezia and giving direct access to the Cinque Terre, Porto Venere and the island of Palmaria. With 80 superyacht berths, dedicated megayacht capacity, the deep water of the gulf and full Italian coast guard infrastructure, it is one of the better-equipped operational bases on the Tyrrhenian coast — and a natural pivot point between Liguria and Tuscany. The pantry is split between the Riviera di Levante to the north and the Lunigiana / Versilia hinterland inland. Cinque Terre DOC whites from terraces above Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso; Sciacchetrà passito; Colli di Luni Vermentino DOC. Ligurian olive oil from the Levante coast. Fresh fish from the La Spezia and Lerici fishermen, plus the Genoa wholesale market for premium accounts. Anchovies in salt from Monterosso. Inland: testaroli (the ancient Lunigiana pasta) with pesto, farinata di ceci, chestnut flour preparations. Tuscan sourcing — Chianti, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Tuscan olive oil from the Lucchesia — is half an hour inland. Yachting season runs May through October. Porto Mirabello suppliers handle same-day fresh deliveries and 24 to 48 hour full provisioning, plus tender deliveries to yachts anchored off Porto Venere, Palmaria and the Cinque Terre. The Sail GP and other yachting events that touch La Spezia put pressure on lead times in their respective weeks.
