Porto di Positano is not a marina but a designated mooring field set in the open bay beneath the pastel cliff-village of Positano, on the Amalfi Coast. With 40 superyacht buoy moorings (no quayside berths — the bay is too steep), it offers iconic anchorage in front of one of the most photographed coastlines of the Mediterranean. Tender access to the beach and town is constant during the season.
The Positano pantry is Amalfi Coast at full intensity. Sfusato Amalfitano IGP lemons grow on terraces directly above the village. Buffalo mozzarella from the Cilento and Caserta plains, fior di latte from the Lattari mountains, Cetara colatura di alici from twenty minutes east, San Marzano DOP tomatoes from the Agro Nocerino. Scialatielli (the Amalfi fresh egg pasta) and Gragnano DOP dried pastas. Campania wines: Costa d'Amalfi DOC whites and reds from the cliff terraces, Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, Aglianico from further inland. Fresh fish from the Costa d'Amalfi auction and small-boat fishermen of Positano and Praiano. Specialty providers in Amalfi (eight nautical miles east) coordinate daily tender delivery to Positano-moored yachts.
Yachting season runs May through October with very sharp Italian and international fleet peaks in late June through August. Positano provisioning operates entirely via tender from Amalfi, Sorrento and Salerno suppliers — there is no on-bay infrastructure for full provisioning runs. Plan 24 to 48 hours for full orders.
