Porto di Cala del Forte is a recent, premium marina at the western edge of the Italian Riviera, in Ventimiglia just five nautical miles from the French border and Monaco. Operated by the Société des Bains de Mer (the same group that owns Port Hercule), it offers 65 superyacht berths to a Monaco standard at significantly lower berthing rates — and has rapidly become a strategic alternative for charters working the French-Italian border week.
The pantry sits at the cultural junction. From the Italian side: Taggiasca olive oil at source, Rossese di Dolceacqua reds (Ventimiglia is the heart of the appellation), Pigato and Vermentino di Ponente whites, the Ventimiglia and San Remo fish auctions, Albenga artichokes and Ligurian inland salumi. From the French side: AOP Nice olive oil and the full Niçois pantry are available within thirty minutes via the autostrada. Specialty providers in Ventimiglia work both currencies and customs regimes; many suppliers maintain HACCP-grade cold chain for delivery into Monaco when crews need same-day handoff. The Friday market in Ventimiglia is famous regionally for produce, cheese and charcuterie.
Yachting season runs April through October with strong shoulder support. Cala del Forte suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, plus cross-border deliveries into Monaco and Menton. The marina is purpose-built for the Monaco F1 Grand Prix overflow and the Monaco Yacht Show traffic each September.
