ACI Marina Dubrovnik sits in Komolac on the Rijeka Dubrovačka river estuary 6 km north of Dubrovnik old town, with 90 superyacht berths in the protected inner harbour. The marina serves as the principal Dubrovnik-area yachting hub (the old town harbour itself is tight and historic), and Dubrovnik is the southern Dalmatian crown — UNESCO-listed old town, the Pearl of the Adriatic, principal Croatian charter-start hub.
The southern Dalmatian pantry is at its richest. Pelješac Plavac Mali reds — the Dingač and Postup positions on the Pelješac peninsula (30 km north-west) produce the most concentrated Croatian reds, from steep south-facing slopes above the Adriatic. Pošip whites from neighbouring Korčula. Olive oil from the Konavle hinterland (the Dubrovnik-area olive groves date to the Republic of Ragusa, the medieval state that was Dubrovnik) and Pelješac. Dalmatian charcuterie — Dingač estate prosciutto, Mali Ston oysters PDO (the only Croatian oysters with DOP designation, farmed in the brackish water of Mali Ston Bay where the Neretva river meets the Adriatic). Fresh fish from the Dubrovnik market and Adriatic boats. Konavle-area lamb. Specialty providers handle full Mediterranean luxury catering for the Dubrovnik restaurant economy.
Yachting season runs April through October with sharp peaks summer. Dubrovnik suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to the Elaphiti islands (immediately offshore north-west) and onward to Mljet, Korčula and Montenegro.
