ACI Marina Pula sits in the south of the Istrian peninsula, with 60 superyacht berths in the historic harbour beneath the 1st-century Roman amphitheatre (the sixth-largest surviving Roman arena in the world, still used for the Pula Film Festival). Pula is the principal yachting hub of southern Istria and the natural base for charters working the Istrian coast, the Brijuni archipelago (the former Tito state residence, now a national park) and the Kvarner Gulf islands.
The Istrian pantry is distinct from the rest of Croatia — closer to Italian and Slovenian traditions than to Dalmatia. Istrian olive oil is consistently rated among the world's finest (Flos Olei has awarded Istria as the best olive-oil region globally several times). Indigenous wines: Malvazija Istarska (the white grape that defines Istrian whites) and Teran (the structured red of the inland karst). Istrian truffles — both white (Tuber magnatum, the Motovun forest is one of Europe's three white-truffle areas alongside Alba and Aquitaine) and black, available year-round with peaks October-December for white. Istrian prosciutto — pršut istarski PDO, air-dried without smoke. Boškarin cattle (an Istrian indigenous breed) for premium beef. Fresh fish from the Pula auction and Adriatic boats.
Yachting season runs May through October with year-round shoulder support. Pula suppliers handle same-day on fresh items and 24 to 48 hours on full provisioning, with tender delivery to Brijuni and Kvarner anchorages.
